Cited cloud best practices, inside your editor.

An MCP server that answers with the provider's own sentence and link, and reviews your Terraform against the same rules as our browser tool. Free. A work email opens full reviews.

Files are read on your machine. The only things that ever leave it are your key, rule ids, and one number (how many services were found), and only when you use a key. No account, no AI model, and no file contents are sent.

Install the MCP server

Add this to your editor's MCP settings. It runs on your machine and needs Node 20 or later.

The four tools

  • lookup_citation: the provider's own sentence and link for a service, a pillar, and a question.
  • review_iac: reviews Terraform, CloudFormation, or Kubernetes files you point it at.
  • review_stack: reviews a list of services you name, with an optional line about what the workload does.
  • explain_finding: explains one finding: why it matters, the fix, and the citation.

Free, and with a key

Without a key, citation lookup is complete and a review shows the top three findings. With a free key, a review shows every finding, the estimated quote total, the recommended next step, and a link to the full report. Every price line is an estimate, not an offer.

Get a free key with a work email, then set KHAVION_API_KEY.

Command line and GitHub Action

The same engine runs as a command line tool and as a GitHub Action that comments on pull requests with the top findings and their citations.

npx @khavion/architecture-review ./infra

Prefer a browser? The same rules run in the Architecture Review, where nothing leaves your machine until you ask for the report.
