Services and prices
Every price is on this page. Scope is written down before work starts, and the price does not move unless the scope does, in writing, in either direction.

Ongoing
Advisory retainer
Up to 20 hours a month, used for reviews of your documents, written answers to questions you send between calls, and calls. It covers AWS and Microsoft partner program filings, funding packages, and GenAI plans. Writing or fixing applications is authoring and is quoted separately. Invoiced at the start of each month, for at least 3 months.
- Price
- $4,500per month, 3-month minimum
Terms
- Reviews, roadmaps, calls, and audits are paid in full up front. The assessment is 50% at kickoff and 50% on delivery. Pilots, rollouts, and Software Partner Launch work are billed by milestone. The advisory retainer is invoiced at the start of each month.
- Authoring, remediation, and Software Partner Launch work are $175 per hour against a written cap. New clients prepay half the cap, and the unused part is refunded.
- Prices on this page apply to new engagements. Work already agreed in writing keeps its agreed price.
- Invoices are due on receipt. You can pay by card or ACH through the invoice link.
- Calls are booked through the contact page, on US Central time.
- You own everything built for you: code, prompts, evaluation data, and docs.
- Khavion takes one build at a time. If the start date you need is not open, you hear that before you pay, with the first date that is.
How Khavion works
- If a finding is missed
- If AWS rejects your resubmission for a reason that was in the package we reviewed and the memo did not flag it, the review fee is refunded. AWS makes every approval decision, so approval is never promised.
- Re-check
- Every review includes one re-check of your revised package within 14 days.
- Reply time
- Messages get a reply within one business day.
- Insurance
- Professional liability insurance is in force, with $1M of coverage. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
- Paperwork
- A W-9 for Khavion LLC is available on request.
When Khavion is the wrong hire
- You need a team on-site. Khavion is one person, working remotely.
- You want a proof of concept to win an internal argument, with no plan to put it into use.
- Your use case needs a model trained from scratch. Khavion builds on existing AI models and does not train new ones.
- You want hourly staff augmentation inside your ticket queue.
- The process you want AI to run is not written down yet.
- You need a guarantee that AWS or Microsoft will approve your application. Nobody can give one; each provider makes the decision.
- You want a new AWS Service Delivery or Service Ready specialization. AWS closed new applications for both; the roadmap points you to a competency or validation that is still open.
Questions
What does a fixed scope mean?
Deliverables and acceptance criteria are written down before work starts. The price does not change unless the scope does, in writing, in either direction.
Can the assessment end in "don't build"?
Yes. If a workflow fix or ordinary search beats an AI system, the report says so and the plan covers that instead. Run the free check first. One of its results says not to build.
Do you work in regulated environments?
Khavion's founder built an AI intake system in a HIPAA-eligible environment at a previous employer. For Khavion work that touches protected health information, the Business Associate Agreement is reviewed with you before any work starts. There is no HHS-recognized certification for HIPAA, so the Security and data handling page describes the safeguards instead.
Which platforms do you build on?
Mostly Amazon Bedrock, the AWS service for running AI models. If your stack is on another cloud, where to build is agreed in writing before work starts.
What happens after a project ends?
Pilots and rollouts include 30 days of defect fixes. After that, help is $175 per hour against a written cap, or the advisory retainer if you want regular help. The retainer is capped at 20 hours a month, so it is never open-ended.
How soon can you start?
Reviews, roadmaps, calls, and audits usually start within a week. Khavion takes one assessment or pilot at a time. Ask on the first call and you get a start date.
