I run Khavion, a boutique AI consultancy in Houston. I love this work — production RAG systems, LLM applications, agents, the unglamorous plumbing that makes them reliable — and I hate how AI gets sold. So the firm is built around one rule: I tell you the truth about whether you need AI before you spend money on it.

That means every engagement starts with a verdict, in writing. Sometimes the verdict is “don’t build this — fix the workflow instead.” Clients occasionally find that strange from someone who sells AI consulting. It’s exactly why the ones who do build with me trust the result.

I spent 2021–2025 at AWS as a Partner Solutions Architect, where I closed $60M+ in partner contracts and influenced $200M+ in customer revenue — including driving Cohere’s model integration into Amazon Bedrock. Before and since, I’ve shipped AI systems in environments where mistakes have consequences: healthcare intake running in a HIPAA-eligible environment under a signed BAA, Kubernetes platforms where the cost graph was the incident.

These days I build AI solutions across the AWS and Azure ecosystems, teach applied AI as adjunct faculty at Houston City College, and run hands-on workshops — including the official companion workshop for Smart Karpenter, the Kubernetes cost optimizer I co-created with Avesha.

Fixed scope, published prices, small concurrent load. I’m remote and async-first, with working sessions in US evening hours (Central). You get me — not a bench, not a junior team shadowing a senior name.

The name, since people ask: Khavion starts with “Kha” from Khawaja. The rest just sounded like a company that ships software.
